Projects & Tasks:

1. Implement a career exploration day in at least two of the three Bedford County middle schools in the 2009-2010 academic year.
   
   1. Coordinate with other entities that are/can be involved in the implementation of career exploration day.
      
      1. Contact guidance counselors
      2. Contact Junior Achievement- complete
      3. Contact Bedford County Administration
      4. Determine funding availability/limitations
   2. Gather information from businesses regarding their experience with the previous career exploration day and their interest in participating in the upcoming career exploration day.
      1. Create a survey to send to all businesses to gauge interest and commitment by April 1st
      2. To get responses by May 1st, send survey to businesses by April 15th
      3. Gather and compile survey results by May 9th
      4. Get compiled information to J.A. and to schools by May 10th
   3. Utilize information obtained from schools, businesses, and agencies to plan and carry out the career exploration day.
      
      1. Meet face-to-face with schools to discuss their needs and logistic issues by April 30th
      2. Meet face-to-face with schools to plan in more detail utilizing survey results
2. To explore other programs that could expose youth to educational and/or career opportunities and recommend one program for implementation by September 1, 2009.
