Thanks for making the 2010 Annual Dinner a truly "Magical" event!

Attendees of the 2010 Annual Dinner experienced a "fantastic" event at Mariners Landing Resort Community and Conference Center on March 26, 2010.  The evening began with a networking reception complete with 25 silent auction items available for bids!  Prior to an exceptional buffet provided by Benjamin's at the Pointe, BACC introduced honored guests and announced its 2010 Passport sponsors including the 2010 Diamond Partner: Kroger.  Following dinner guests were entertained with a magic show courtesy of Greg Coudoures with the Smith Mountain Lake Magic and Science Shop.

The 2010 Annual Dinner also celebrated the achievements of local businesses and citizens with an Award Ceremony.  The winners of the 2010 Annual Wards were:

Small Business of the Year: Electric Co.

Non-Profit of the Year: Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest

Special Interest Award for Community Development: Downtown Moneta at SML

 Citizen of the Year: Ben Shrader

Founding Fathers Award for Volunteer Service: Harry Schickling

 The evening closed following a raffle game where guests tried to get their "bunny" in the magic hat!  Congratulations to Martie Slaughter, our raffle winner of $500!  The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce appreciates the support of its members and all whomade the event possible through silent auction donations, volunteer efforts of the events committee, and the event sponsors.
