Chamber Welcomes Longwood Florist ![]() On Friday, February 10th, the Bedford Area Chamber was extremely pleased to welcome Longwood Florist to membership with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony, as the award winning florist hosted an Open House in celebration of the successful completion of its first four years of business. Michelle and John Adkins who live in Brookneal are proud of the fact that Longwood Florist has been recognized by the Bedford Bulletin’s “Readers’ Choice” for the past two years as winning florist. Decorated to the theme of Valentine’s Day, the shop was resplendent with a tremendous variety of gift items, some romantic, some just ordinary everyday great gift items. So, if you’re looking for a gift for that special someone (or for yourself!), stop by their location at 1333 Longwood Avenue in Bedford. You’re sure to find something to suit your need. And, yes, there are lots of beautiful flowers, floral arrangements, plants, and balloons. You can also reach them by phone at 540-586-4786. The ribbon cutting was managed by Ambassador Rebecca Sturm-Clauser who welcomed everyone, and introduced the shop owners, and other Chamber Ambassadors in attendance (Catherine Eubank, GruvenCat Bakery and Stefanie Prokity, Supplemental Solutions). She also introduced Chamber President Susan Martin, who congratulated Michelle and John on the success of their business and introduced Board Chairman Anita Lowe (Bedford Memorial Hospital) and Board Member Harry Schickling, Fostek.
