Grand Re-Opening of Olde Liberty Station

Liberty Restaurant Returns

Olde Liberty Station has re-opened with an updated look and a new name.  According to Owner Harry Leist, "Most of our clientele already referred to the restaurant as Liberty Station, and it just seemed like the appropriate time to change the name."

Those who attended the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Re-Opening Ceremony on Monday, February 08, 2010 didn't seem to mind the name change.  They were simply happy to see the return of Bedford's landmark restaurant and the favorite meeting place for a lot of Bedford's residents.  From community meetings to birthday parties, or just lunch or an evening out with friends, the Olde Liberty Station has been a favorite gathering place that has been sorely missed since the fire that claimed a large section of the restaurant five months ago.  Many of Olde Liberty's antique treasures were rescued from the blaze and are again occupying their rightful place in Liberty Restaurant.

County Administrator Kathleen Guzi and City Manager Charlie Kolakowski were available to extend their congratulations to Harry and staff for bringing the restaurant back for the community.
