Shentel Opens in Bedford

On Friday, August 12th, the Chamber was pleased to conduct a formal ribbon cutting ceremony for our member SHENTEL.  Located at 1525 Longwood Avenue in the Fool Lion Shopping Center in Bedford, Shentel provides cable television, digital video, and high-speed internet services in Forest, Goode, New London and others areas in Bedford, Campbell and Appomattox counties.   Shentel continued a day long celebration of this new office location with an Open House from 11 - 1 PM, featuring food, door prizes and live remote.

Chamber Ambassador Phil Waugh managed the ribbon cutting ceremony, introducing Chamber President Susan Martin who welcomed Shentel to our area and introduced City Manager Charlie Kolakowski and Board Member Harry Schickling, FOSTEK.  City Manager Kolakowski welcomed Shentel remarking, "Bedford is pleased to have Shentel in Bedford. They offer our residents more choices for internet and phone services, adding to a healthy business climate."
