Ribbon Cutting at The Gilded Thimble ![]() The Bedford Area Chamber was pleased to facilitate an official Ribbon Cutting ceremony for The Gilded Thimble on Tuesday, March 1st at 9:30 AM. The Gilded Thimble is located at 208 North Bridge Street in Bell's Treasures Mini-Mall. Owner Carissa Suter (pictured with scissors assisted by daughter Abigail) welcomed Chamber members and the owners of the Murray Building on North Bridge Street offering coffee and doughnuts before the ribbon cutting ceremony. Chamber President Susan Martin made brief Chamber announcements before adding her congratulations and welcoming comments to The Gilded Thimble. Board Member Terry Wood (Boxley) and City Manager Charlie Kolakowski added their congratulations and welcomed The Gilded Thimble to this new location on North Bridge Street. Bill Moss, Xango, offered a brief welcome on behalf of our Chamber Ambassadors who were also in attendance: Phil Waugh, Max International and Susan Myers, ServPro. Other Chamber members in attendance were: Scott Carter, American National Bank; Wendy Witt, Keller Williams Realty; Doug Harrington, Premier Limousine. Bedford Centertown is pleased to add a professional seamstress to its business area. Carissa is a gifted and talented seamstress who specializes in alterations of formal wear.
